With that in mind, we’ve put together a list of the top 25 offline games to play in 2020. Check it out!
Attention: the games below can also be played online, but we select those with main focus in offline mode, that is, games that remain incredible even when your internet goes down.
1. Grand Theft Auto V
A masterpiece. Even in a franchise full of great successes, GTA V is a highlight that took the name of the series to new levels. With an open world bigger than ever, several playable characters (with their own skills and characteristics) and a volume of unprecedented content, the game can be played and replayed several times and will never ask for grace.
2. Red Dead Redemption 2
One more point for Rockstar. Red Dead Redemption 2 stands out for the same reasons as GTA V, as it managed to improve all aspects of its previous title. The most beloved western of videogames has incredible graphics, photography and passionate storyline and also addresses several relevant topics such as racism, immigration and politics in the United States. Another rockstar pearl.
The largest game in the sanbox genre in the world, Minecraft is one of the most played games today and is aimed at different age groups. In addition to being extremely appealing to the younger audience, the game is also aimed at those who spend hours building and editing real works of art within the game. Here, your imagination is really the limit for what is possible within the game.
4. The Witcher 3
At this point in the championship, The Witcher 3 almost needs no introduction. This action RPG has become a true reference of the genre and, since it was so good, it left videosgames to become a TV series. The game is so big that it is estimated that the full gameplay will take about 200 hours if the player decides to do all the main and side missions.
5. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Another very famous game, Skyrim was highly awarded at the time of its launch and is also one of the games names in the RPG genre. With a huge open world, the game allows you to explore different locations with their own characteristics such as economy, traditions and etc. In addition, here you can learn numerous secondary skills (in addition to the main ones used in combat) such as cooking, forging, opening locks, etc. Mastering these skills can help a lot in missions and even unlock “secret” quests.
6. The Sims 4
There is no way for the best life simulator to be off that list. The Sims 4 is such a success that it is almost synonymous with the genre of which it is a part. Still, with its many expansions, The Sims 4 has already expanded (hehe) its limits and, today, allows you to control vampires, monsters, aliens and more.
7. Dark Souls III
One more for the bustling RPG genre. Dark Souls III is a masterpiece whose main differential is the extremely high level of difficulty that is not limited to bosses. An extremely original puzzle that, without a doubt, is among the best offline games for PC. 9. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
Another GTA that deserves a place on that list, GTA San Andreas managed to add several incredible elements to a franchise that already looked flawless. Of course, the game is not as complete and polished as the last title in the franchise, but it still deserves your consideration. The game is so successful that it won an equally successful version for mobile devices.

The story, of course, remains exactly the same and we can still play with Leon and Claire.

All of this is possible due to the very advanced and realistic artificial intelligence that allows you to create chain reactions, for example, letting a dead body fall from the hill to attract the attention of guards and, thus, go unnoticed.
14. Hollow Knight
Hollow Knight is a metroidvania commonly described as a 2D Dark Souls, as it has the same dark theme, action, similar combat mechanics and difficult bosses.
